Gefen EXT-VGAKVM-LAN – VGA & KVM Extender over IP with USB, RS-232, IR & Two-Way Audio

The Gefen EXT-VGAKVM-LAN extends VGA video, USB 2.0 data, bidirectional stereo audio, RS-232 and IR signals over a standard Gigabit Ethernet network. It supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1200 (WUXGA) and allows multiple transmitters and receivers to be integrated and managed centrally.

With automatic or manual IP configuration, you can connect and manage a variety of devices—including Gefen KVM-over-LAN units with HDMI, DVI or VGA outputs—from a single interface. The receiver includes a built-in Ethernet switch with two extra RJ-45 ports for daisy-chaining other networked devices.

The USB 2.0 host port supports data rates up to 480 Mbps and is backward-compatible with USB 1.1. Two USB Type-A ports on the receiver each supply up to 500 mA, ideal for keyboards, mice or other peripherals.

Bidirectional analog audio carries both line-level and mic-level signals (with a mic preamp at the receiver). IR commands can be sent from the receiver back to any transmitter, and RS-232 control is fully bidirectional. An integrated web interface makes setup and ongoing management straightforward.
